G’day
I’m happy that you found my small contribution to the Wonderful World Wide Web amongst the millions (if not billions) of other websites out there.
My name is Jon, and I am a Data Analyst Programmer / Data Engineer / Data Asset Manager / Cloud Engineer (my title changes every six months with a restructure) living in Southeastern Australia.
Developing and supporting Qlik Replicate earns me my bread and butter; but I also proficient with various RDBMS and use python as a tool to get me over everyday problems in the IT world.
In this blog I share my IT experiences that I come across in my everyday work life that may be useful to other people. I focus on Qlik Replicate as there is less information in the wild about this product and feel like this is the area to contribute to create the most impact.
But my world does not just revolve around the computer screen.
I have a passion in cooking at home for family and friends; and willing to give cooking new and exotic recipes a try. As time permits, I document my favourite recipes on this site; to make recipes easy for me to share with family and friends – but also as a contribution to the wider culinary world.
Lastly, I have an amateurish creative streak in me to offset my highly technical job. I have been wood turning since I was a kid and enjoy turning up various creations in the lathe. Recently I have purchased an arc and a Mig welder and now learning to weld for both creativity and practicality.
So, kick back, grab a cup of tea and enjoy my contribution to the digital age.
